Non-Financial Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement
Stakeholder Engagement is critical to building long-lasting, constructive relationships between organisations and those stakeholders potentially impacted by the activities undertaken by the company. Most companies and their boards recognise that effective engagement with key stakeholders, is a key component of long-term sustainability and business success.
The Companies (Miscellaneous Reporting) Regulations 2018 increases the requirement for both listed and unlisted companies to report on how directors have engaged with employees, how they have had regard to employee interests, and how they have taken these into account when principal decisions were taken by the company. In addition, companies must provide a summary of how the directors have had regard to the need to foster the company’s business relationships with suppliers, customers and other stakeholders during the financial year.

Our team regularly presents to boards on developing a strategic engagement approach, the benefits, ongoing stakeholder management and reporting, including now to take account of stakeholder feedback in their decision making.
